About Me
Hi, I’m Mel.
If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re looking for a place to feel supported, less alone, and more like yourself. I’m really glad you’re here.
Who I Am
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a first-generation American-born woman, and a native Californian. But before anything else, I’m a human. I laugh at my own jokes (even when no one else does), sometimes forget where I put my keys, and believe therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating or “stuffy.” My clients often describe me as warm, real, and even a little funny (yes, therapy can include humor).
My Approach
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I pull from somatics, family systems, play therapy, psychodynamic, CBT/DBT, attachment theory, and more. It all depends on what you need. I value bringing creativity and curiosity to our work together.
Therapy with me is about helping you:
Feel safe without judgement.
Untangle the messy stuff with compassion.
Build tools that actually fit your life.
Show up as your authentic self.
Move through life with more clarity, ease, and confidence.
Individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions.
Families in transition, including gender-affirming care.
Couples wanting stronger, healthier relationships or looking for support creating separate paths.
Anyone craving a space that feels safe, kind, and real.
Who I Work With
I believe healing happens in relationships. With ourselves, with others, and within our communities. My goal is to create a space that’s both safe and empowering, where you can explore, heal, and grow into the fullest version of yourself.
Why I Do This Work
I know choosing a therapist is a big deal. You deserve someone who feels like the right fit. If you’re curious about working together, I’d love to connect.
